Raymond Oloo is an architectural designer based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and the founder and principal of Urban Projects, an architecture and design studio delivering commercial, hospitality, and residential projects across diverse contexts and scales.

With experience spanning Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, Raymond has led multidisciplinary design teams and overseen the delivery of civic, commercial, cultural, institutional, and urban developments from concept through construction. His approach combines clear design thinking with technical rigour, cost awareness, and buildability — aligning vision, programme, and budget to produce practical, well-resolved outcomes.

Born in Nairobi and raised in Durban, Raymond graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2011. His career includes roles in both architecture and project management, providing a broad understanding of construction and coordination. He has worked on high-end residential developments at FLUX Architecture in Cape Town and with atelier masomi (now Mariam Issoufou Architects) in Niamey, contributing to award-winning and socially responsive projects.

Through Urban Projects, he leads a hands-on, collaborative practice focused on efficient delivery, disciplined detailing, and creating durable, context-driven spaces that add long-term value for clients and communities.
